Staying at Le Verger

Le Verger is a comfortable stone built house set in the rolling Dordogne countryside of South-West France just outside the picturesque village of Savignac-Lédrier.

Accommodation is offered in individual or shared rooms (not en suite, sorry!) in the main house, the Piggery (a converted gite) overlooking the orchard, or in one of our Writer’s Cabins.

Meals

Your stay includes full board. Breakfast is self-service so you can get up early or catch up on the needed rest if you stayed up late the night before (writing, of course!). A simple buffet lunch will be laid out in the kitchen from 12:30-1:30. Having lunch together as a group is a great way to break up the day and not get too stuck in your own thoughts. Tea- and coffee-making facilities are available whenever you require.

A sit-down dinner with wine is served from 7:30pm and we encourage all retreaters to join the group for this as it is usually great fun. Retreaters take turns to cook one evening meal in pairs or small groups and clear away. Hosts David and Michèle make sure to meet all dietary needs and choices.

Your stay also includes transfers from and to Limoges airport (or Limoges-Bénédictins train station) and Wi-Fi internet access. Please, note, that individual pick-ups or drop-offs will be charged.

At Le Verger, all your needs are catered for, so you can fully focus on your writing and come back with a finished play.
